Key features of the 2021 Chevrolet Equinox

The automotive segment of the compact SUV class is highly competitive. But Chevrolet stands out with its all-new 2021 Equinox. Its roomy cabin and best-in-class safety and driver assistance are the biggest draws for buyers, especially those with families. The 2021 Chevrolet Equinox is available in three trim levels: L, LS, and LT. Herein, let’s take a look at the salient features of the latest Equinox.

Safety and driver assistance
All three variants of the 2021 Equinox are equipped with Chevy Safety Assist. This includes six state-of-the-art safety technologies that can detect potential hazards and prevent collisions, such as forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, auto high-beam assist, and lane keep assist with lane departure warning. The vehicle also has a bunch of driver assistance features to make driving comfortable and risk-free. These include rear vision camera, adaptive cruise control, rear park assist, rear seat reminder, and teen driver technology.

Design
The classy exterior and the roomy interior are among the highlights of the 2021 Equinox. Its modern design with sculpted contours and peculiar accents will stand out wherever you go. The vehicle is available in various color options, such as midnight blue, pacific blue, nightfall gray, mosaic black, and silver ice. The LT variant is also available in premier models like the Midnight and Sport editions. When it comes to the interior, there is comfortable space for drivers and passengers. The second row features folding 60/40 split-bench seats that increase the cargo volume to almost 64 cu. ft. There is also a hidden storage compartment under the rear floor.

Performance
The Equinox is powered by a 1.5L, four-cylinder turbo engine that delivers 170 horsepower and offers an EPA-estimated 31MPG on the highway. The engine is combined with the standard six-speed automatic transmission that shifts seamlessly. There is also a switchable all-wheel-drive option available on LS, LT, and premier models of the Chevrolet Equinox 2021 to improve traction and control on slippery or snowy roads.

Infotainment and connectivity
The compact SUV comes with a 7-inch touchscreen (or optional 8-inch screen) display that includes a user-friendly and responsive interface. The infotainment system has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility so you can call, message, play music, and access navigation while driving. Other features, such as Bluetooth, four USB ports, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and a six-speaker stereo, are also standard across Equinox trim variants.
